Lotus is launching 200 BHP C-01 Super Bike!

The designer responsible for creating the Tron Legacy bike (Daniel Simon), Kodewa German Auto Racing Team and the Holzer Group is the team responsible for the new design. As I understand it, Lotus states this bike will be the best looker on the road and engineers will focus on design, ergonomics and high-end technologies. With the current market, I am sure Lotus could use the boost from another side of the auto industry.

Although I am sure this motorcycle is going to be well out of my price range, I am looking forward to seeing if this team of engineers and designers create a bike worthy of the cycle porn collection! Hopefully the name C-01 is just a working title!

3 names...Monster Craftsman, Jillian Rossi, and the Smoke Out 14!

As if setting up a booth to display their already well know product line, installation guides and how to seminars at this years Smoke Out in Rockingham were not enough, Monster Craftsman took it up a notch! They have just recently added pin striping seminars to the line up with Jillian Rossi.

"I have a natural ability to communicate and educate," said Jillian. "I'll be sharing my tips and techniques that will keep people riveted whether they are interested in pinstriping for themselves or not."

I myself will probably spending quite a bit of time at the Monster Craftsman booth, spending money and hounding the talent for their trade secrets. Perhaps I can offer up the bike for a class piece!!!! If you were still unsure about attending the event this year, perhaps your mind has been changed! Its not all about entertainment anymore! The seminars Monster Craftsman are putting on is what the Smoke Out is all about!

WILLOW bike Diaries!

Great documentary of the Willow bike built in the garage of  Troy Helmick that started off as a 1974 Honda CL 360. Better than excellent considering he is a retired photographer turned Alpaca Farmer!!!

Display Tables

Need a new table for shows, so the guys got together on Saturday and delivered this little piece. Its hand carved birch stained with paint and blood, and burnt with a torch. Not too shaby.

Forced to enter!

Hooters had a bike show Saturday night, here in Fayetteville NC. A shit pile of bikes showed up some for beer and wings, others for the bike show. There were a few big guys hauling in bikes with trailers! It was a great time. Somebody pushed my bike over and entered it into the bike show with out my consent. It was covered in dirt, oil, grease and rough from my everyday riding! And low and behold, #75 pulled first place in the bobber class (is it a bobber?) The trophy is cool, but the gift certificate for the tattoo (Hot Rod Studio - Tattoo Shop, Fayetteville NC) is the shit! Gettn' sleaved this month!

Ragerbuilt.....

A fellow Sportster choppin bastard (Ragerbuilt) has thrown a bag on his bike for a 500 mile (Revenge Run) round trip run to the outer Banks and back. My bike is still unregistered, otherwise I'd be riding with him!!! I love the look Walt!!

Found and AMD European Favorite..

Its a 1972 1540cc HD Shovel, Sportster wheels, ISR brakes and controls, Peanut tank (modified heavily, 40 degrees of rake, clip ons and a sweet oil tank built into the mono shock swing arm. I really dig the dirtbike inspired exhaust. I have not been though all the bikes yet but This one grabbed my attention!!!

Congrats to Unique Custom Cycles (out of Sweden) for this beautiful build.

I can't get enough of this quad cam. Chris Fletcher @ Speed Shop Design . If you get a chance find some more pictures of this bike. It was an LA Calendar winner in 2009. A beautiful bike. The details from custom parts, to the welds and the overall design set it aside from anything else.

Title Problems...

I had some major title issues to iron out. In NC, if it is not a original HD Frame, it can't be registered as one! I dropped the ball on this one due to some bad advice. I called the Bros! Dave & Chuck bailed me out from suffering the loss of my bike, and paying ridiculous fines and insurance bonds. An MSO is in the mail, and I'm going to visit Mr. Inspector!

I have to install a Speedometer first!

Custom BMW

I found these picture hiding deep within my hard drive. I think they are shots from the Smoke Out East. I liked the details in the truss type leaf forks, shaft to chain conversion and the fabricated tail light. But I think the tires set it off!!Would love to see more pics of this bike. I don't know who owns it. If you do, please thank that person for me!!

Spartan Frame Works

Well, I made it back from Tucson in one piece. 16 days out of town and work will stretch a man pretty thin. Fortunately Tucson AZ provided plenty of beautiful weather, great landscapes and one the best bike builders/fabricators I know.

George Counes (Spartan Frame Works) had me over for a visit, while my better half was nearby visiting some friends. It gave me a chance to check out what he is working on and just swap fabrication ideas (I am going to ditch the the front brake). He had a nice shop layout with a bike in just about every stage of completion. He has also batted around a few ideas for quad cam (sportster) frames....they'll go fast I gaurantee it!

Because of some top secret stuff he has going on, I could only capture pictures of the ever changing Knucklehead. Its nice to know we have the "tear down/rebuild" in common.

SIDE CAR SPORTY RACER

To be completely honest, I can't tell if it is truly a racing sidecar Sportster, or just a fancy drag bike built for corners. It was interesting to say the least. The front end and side rail is what caught my eye. The fact that it was a quad cam, well that was just the icing on the cake!
